A Presence Score is a single 0 to 100 metric summarising how present a brand is inside AI answers, combining how often it is mentioned, how highly it ranks within each answer and how often its pages are cited, measured across a fixed set of prompts and engines.
The value of a composite score is not precision, it is comparability over time. Mention rate alone rises and falls with which prompts you happen to track; a score computed on a fixed prompt set and a fixed engine set can be trended week over week and defended in a report.
A score is only meaningful next to its inputs. Always read it with the underlying mention rate, average rank and citation count, and keep the prompt set stable when you want to compare two periods.
